Charles Dow

Charles makes 2018 his second season with the team. A strong all-rounder, his overall fitness and endurance suits him well towards stage racing and long leadouts when necessary. A former college lacrosse player whose training often heavily consisted of long-distance running, he turned to cycling in his late 30s and fell in love with racing shortly after. He has been an invaluable teammate to many, including at the 2015 Killington Stage Race where he helped Jon O’Connor gain a 4th place on the General Classification as well as a stage win for another teammate. Outside of cycling, Charles is a cardiologist and his knowledge of the heart and cardiovascular system helps him to optimize his training on long work days. Additionally, he enjoys alpine skiing, windsurfing, and a bit of running, while spending time with his 9-year-old daughter remains an integral part of his life. His love for the camaraderie of cycling, as well as for the progression and success for those around him, make him a fantastic part of our team and we’re excited to have him with us for the 2018 season.
