Senior Mentor Squad
Stephen has been a member of the team since its inception in 2015, having started racing just two years earlier in 2013. In addition, to being the Assistant Race Director and a member of the Board of Directors, Stephen is a successful racer who uses his high anaerobic capacity to lead teammates out, bridge to breakaways, and go up against the best sprinters around when called upon. Introduced to cycling through a friend while growing up in Vermont, his love for the sport only flourished when he moved to Massachusetts where he became friends with Douglas Chrystall and began racing. Prior to 2017, Stephen raced primarily criterium but last year he made the jump to road and stage racing, where he scored two top 10s, a 12th place on the queen stage, and an 11th overall in the Green Mountain Stage Race, thanks in part to a bridge to the breakaway on stage 3. Outside of cycling, Stephen is a physical education teacher at the Tenacre Country Day School and he enjoys traveling with his wife and attending professional sporting events, particularly Boston Bruins games. We’re excited to have Stephen with us again and we’re looking forward to helping him become our second Cat 1.
